The NFL divisional round nightcap between the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills will decide the final team that will compete for a conference title next week.
The winner of this match will travel to Maryland to play a No. 1-seeded Baltimore Ravens fresh off a 34-10 dismantling of the Houston Texans.
But before either side can think about that match, they’ll face off at Highmark Stadium in a rematch of a Week 14 game where the Bills won following a controversial offsides penalty by the Chiefs late in the game.
Now, with a conference championship game appearance on the line, ESPN analyst and former NFL quarterback Dan Orlovsky wrote on social media that he predicts the Chiefs to play “big” today.

Now, it appears as though Orlovsky meant two things with the word “big” – that Kansas City would show up in a big way against Buffalo but also that they’ll play a lot of their physically “big” tight ends.
Orlovsky went a little more in-depth and explained that the Chiefs could be successful deploying more “12 personnel” schemes with two tight ends and one running back on the field to create mismatches and give Kansas City more blockers on the line of scrimmage if they want to pass-protect or run the ball.
It also allows the offense to go through it’s tight ends rather than drop-happy wide receivers.
Whether or not the Chiefs actually do this against the Bills remains to be seen, but a change in offensive philosophy could help an offense that’s looked like a shell of itself throughout the 2023 season.
