Despite being the top seed in the AFC this season, the Baltimore Ravens found themselves tied 10-10 with the Houston Texans after the first half of the divisional-round playoff matchup between these two teams on Saturday.
With things not exactly going his team’s way during the first two quarters, Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson delivered a fiery halftime speech inside the team’s locker room.
After Saturday’s game, Jackson shared that he did most of the talking in Baltimore’s locker room at the half, and what he told his teammates involved “a lot of cursing” (via ESPN’s Jamison Hensley).
“A lot of cursing”
Lamar Jackson sparked the Ravens in the second half with his words, legs and arm.
He became the fifth player in NFL history to record two touchdown passes and two rushing TDs in the same playoff game.

Whatever Jackson told his teammates during the half, it definitely worked, as the Ravens came out firing immediately in the third quarter.
Baltimore and their quarterback began the second half with a six-play, 55-yard drive that ended with Jackson running 15 yards for a touchdown.
Then, during the Ravens’ very next offensive drive, Jackson led the team on a 12-play, 93-yard drive that resulted in a touchdown after the star quarterback connected with tight end Isaiah Likely on a 15-yard pass.
And then, for the third offensive drive in a row, Baltimore found the end zone once again at the end of an 11-play, 78-yard drive that concluded with an eight-yard touchdown run by Jackson.
In the second half, the Ravens more resembled the team that won 13 games during the regular season and entered the 2023 playoffs as the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
If Baltimore continues to play like they did during the second half of their win over the Texans on Saturday, then they could definitely be on their way to winning the franchise’s third Vince Lombardi trophy.
