With so much young talent on the roster, the Atlanta Falcons were underwhelming during the 2023 NFL season and now find themselves searching for a head coach.
The Falcons fired Arthur Smith who continuously misused the offensive weapons at his disposal and owner Arthur Blank must now search for his replacement.
Fortunately for Atlanta, there are several high-quality candidates on the market including legendary head coach Bill Belichick.
Belichick parted ways with the New England Patriots after 24 years there, and will get a chance to resume his legendary career somewhere else.
Belichick would instantly improve the legitimacy of the Falcons’ playoff hopes and he would have his pick of coordinators to choose from.
Should he accept the Atlanta job, Belichick already has a familiar face in mind to be his offensive coordinator via Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
“Meanwhile if Bill Belichick lands in Atlanta, Josh McDaniels may go with him in some role,” Rapoport tweeted.

Josh McDaniels was fired by the Las Vegas Raiders midway through the regular season after he seemingly lost the locker room, but could land on his feet quickly.
Belichick and McDaniels spent numerous years together in New England, so it’s no surprise that the former is interested in bringing the latter back on his future coaching staff.
McDaniels may not be cut out to be a head coach in the NFL, but he does have an impressive body of work as an offensive coordinator.
It remains to be seen if the two will reunite, but Belichick should be able to lure McDaniels if he so chooses.
