The Buffalo Bills fell to the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round of the playoffs, their third postseason loss to them in the past four years.
For whatever reason, the Chiefs have unlocked the keys to beating this team in the playoffs, leading to frustration within the team and fanbase.
While another loss to the same team might be a reason for a head coach to express concerns, Sean McDermott remained unbothered.
In a postgame press conference shared via the NFL on CBS, McDermott said, “I’m confident in this team. I’m confident in Josh. We have to continue to grow.”

While their postseason journey ended sooner than they might have wanted, the Bills are using this as another springboard for growth.
Allen is still a young quarterback with plenty of time left, and McDermott believes they can use that for a deeper run next season.
The Bills have several questions to answer on their roster, including the state of their wide receiver room.
Stefon Diggs’ future with the team is unknown, as he has expressed some concerns with the organization.
He appears to have a strained relationship with Allen, which could stem from a lack of targets in big-time moments.
This will be a situation to monitor moving forward.
If Diggs does move on from the team, Allen will need to find a new top receiver.
They haven’t had anyone emerge as a potential option, which could lead the team to draft someone for the position.
While this is still an upcoming decision for the team, for now, McDermott has chosen to remain optimistic about his team.
