One team that has dominated the MLB offseason has been the Los Angeles Dodgers.
They have seemingly made all of the big moves and signed all of the top free agents.
It all started when they signed Shohei Ohtani to a monumental contract.
That deal got the ball rolling and the Dodgers have not stopped targeting some of the best players in free agency.
Most of their starting lineup seems to be in place for the 2024 season.
But, they are still looking to address depth.
One spot where they needed another player was starting pitcher.
So they went out and signed James Paxton.
According to Jon Heyman, Paxton signed a one-year deal with the Dodgers for $11 million.
There is also a roster bonus and incentives added to the deal.
James Paxton and Dodgers now in agreement. $11M plus $1M Opening Day roster bonus plus $1M incentives.

Paxton has struggled to stay healthy for most of his career.
Last season, he started 19 games for the Boston Red Sox.
He threw 96.0 innings with 101 strikeouts and a 4.50 ERA.
The Dodgers should be signing him as nothing more than a fourth or fifth starter.
Paxton is entering his age-36 season this year.
To expect a full season out of him would not be smart.
Still, the southpaw has a chance to contribute to a World Series contending team.
Currently, the Dodgers look to be loaded in their starting rotation.
They have Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Walker Buehler, Bobby Miller, and Tyler Glasnow.
So Paxton could either be their fifth starter or used out of the bullpen as a long-relief arm.
Either way, this is a low-risk signing for a team looking to do whatever is necessary to win the World Series.
