The Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs starred in one of the most awaited matchups we’ve seen in recent years.
The contest became the most-viewed Divisional Round game in NFL history, according to CBS Sports.
Notably, that’s why Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo couldn’t forgive Tony Romo for what he thought was an irreparable mistake.
Early in the game, Stefon Diggs fumbled the ball after a reception, and Dalton Kincaid pushed it out of bounds so the Chiefs couldn’t recover possession.
The former Dallas Cowboys quarterback, who was calling the game, claimed that play reminded him of an iconic play by Franco Harris.
Of course, that play he was referring to was the legendary ‘Immaculate Reception.’
However, Russo said the play he should have referred to was better known as the ‘Holly Roller,’ one of the most controversial plays in NFL history.
With that in mind, Russo went on a full rant on ESPN’s First Take, yelling his lungs out to call out Romo, telling him to call him for a history lesson (Via Dov Kleiman).

For those who lack context, the Holly Roller was a play that helped the then-Oakland Raiders beat the San Diego Chargers.
Down by six, Raiders QB Ken Stabler was about to get sacked at the 24-yard line when the ball came out of his hands and moved toward’ the opponent’s end zone.
RB Pete Banaszak knocked the ball further ahead as it continued toward the end zone.
Then, TE Dave Casper kicked the ball into the endzone, later falling on top of it to get the game-tying touchdown.
That infamous play from 1978 forced the league to make some rule changes, and now, Romo might never forget about it.
