Heading into the NFL playoffs, the Green Bay Packers were a team that no one expected much from, with the storied franchise barely getting into the postseason and facing the second-seeded Dallas Cowboys right out of the gate on the road.
In a shocking turn of events, the Packers absolutely crushed the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in the first round, with up-and-coming quarterback Jordan Love leading the way for his young squad.
Dallas didn’t really stand much of a chance against this motivated Packers team, as Green Bay took off immediately to start the game en route to 27 first-half points, which eventually turned into 48 points once the game was over.
Even though the Cowboys fought back, all the points they scored were in garbage time, with no real hope of catching up to the red-hot Packers, as they easily advanced to the second round of the postseason.
Despite a second-round loss to the San Francisco 49ers, where Love and company gave Kyle Shanahan’s team all they could handle, Green Bay has put the league on notice, with former NFL wideout T.J. Houshmandzadeh believing in this team and thinking Love will be a problem moving forward, via “The Herd with Colin Cowherd.”
“He learned from Aaron Rodgers, but what Jordan Love has done, the Packers are going to be a problem moving forward because they have a young group of skill players and they’re all really good,” Houshmandzadeh said.
“What I saw then, is what I thought he would be… The Packers are going to be a problem.”

After moving on from Rodgers, the Packers weren’t totally sure what they had in Love and whether he’d be able to fill the shoes of the four-time NFL MVP, but now it seems clear that he’s capable and able to keep Green Bay relevant for years to come.
Unless the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings bounce back, the NFC North division race with the Detroit Lions could be a two-team race for the foreseeable future.
