The Kansas City Chiefs escaped Sunday Night Football with a narrow victory over the New York Jets.
Many expected the Chiefs to blow the Jets out of the water, given the hesitancy with Zach Wilson as their starter.
Wilson played better than advertised, throwing for 245 yards and two touchdowns.
After the game, former NFL standout Rodney Harrison asked Chris Jones about Wilson, particularly about the Chiefs’ game plan.
While Harrison might have expected Jones to speak negatively of Wilson, his comments were the exact opposite.
Jones called Wilson “special,” also saying “he’s continuing to get better, week in and week out.”

Chris Jones instead used the opportunity to praise Zach Wilson for his performance tonight.
Respect to Chris Jones.

Harrison couldn’t believe what he was hearing, but Jones remained confident in his responses.
He appears to believe that Wilson is growing in his abilities as demonstrated by his Sunday Night Football performance.
At 1-3, the Jets are in danger of missing the playoffs for their 13th-straight season.
Many believed Aaron Rodgers’ presence would propel them to a monster year, but he is now out for the season.
It’ll be up to Wilson for the rest of the year, hoping to make a difference for the Jets moving forward.
If this performance against the Chiefs is any indication, he appears up to the test.
Wilson and the Jets’ next three games are against the Denver Broncos, Philadelphia Eagles, and New York Giants.
The Broncos are currently on a downward spiral, and the Giants haven’t yet looked like the playoff team they were in 2022.
With any luck, the Jets will win both of those games, and Wilson can show his doubters that he has a lot to prove.
