Not many NFL players could brag about being a first-ballot Hall of Famer before turning 30, but Patrick Mahomes isn’t like most players.
Even Tom Brady, perhaps the most accomplished athlete in sports history, has no choice but to tip his hat to the Kansas City Chiefs star.
Talking to Jim Gray on their Let’s Go! Podcast, the legendary quarterback talked about how you can never count him out.
He talked about the Chiefs being an elite organization and a well-coached team, raving about Mahomes’ tenacity and competitiveness (via SiriusXM NFL Radio).
“He’s an incredible competitor and I think it’s on display in the biggest moments,” Brady said.

Brady believes that Mahomes is the kind of competitor who always wants to go against the best to see how he measures against him, adding that he’s usually at his best in the biggest moments and most crucial games.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion also reminisced about Mahomes’ tenacity and how he goes the extra mile to put his team in a position to win, even in that loss when he was down his top two tackles in the Super Bowl.
He’s made it to the AFC Championship Game six times in a row, and he’s already a two-time Super Bowl champion before turning 29 years of age.
So, as much as the Baltimore Ravens have every right to be favored ahead of this game, you never want to poke the bear or sleep on the best player in the league, and Mahomes is the best player by a significant margin.
