The Los Angeles Chargers got a huge break.
Hiring Jim Harbaugh should propel them right back into contention, as they have the personnel to compete at the highest level.
Notably, they’ve had it for years, but they didn’t have a coach who could make the most of that potential.
That’s why former NFL tackle Taylor Lewan believes the Chargers could now become a legitimate threat.
Talking to Kay Adams for her Up & Adams show, the former Tennesee Titan went as far as to say that if the Chargers are patient and allow Harbaugh to establish his program and culture, he’s going to lead them to an AFC West Division title within the next three years.
“In three years the Chargers are winning the AFC West,” Lewan said.

Needless to say, he’s a Michigan alumnus, so he could be a little biased.
On the flip side, he’s also quite familiar with Harbaugh’s work.
Lewan knows that Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs aren’t going to go anywhere, but he still has the utmost confidence in Harbaugh’s ability to lead this team to success.
Justin Herbert is a superstar in the making and the Chargers have plenty of talent on both sides of the field.
They already have the two most difficult things to find, which are a proven winner as a head coach and a franchise quarterback.
Times have been tough for this franchise more often than not, but it’s finally time to turn things around.
