Over the past couple of weeks, a lot of teams in the NFL that saw their season come to an end after Week 18 have been very busy trying to address issues with their football teams, especially when it comes to adjustments and changes needing to be made to their coaching staff.
One team that wasted no time after the final whistle blew in Week 18 was the Atlanta Falcons, with the team quickly parting ways with head coach Arthur Smith shortly after losing to the division-rival New Orleans Saints in the team’s regular-season finale.
Although it had been rumored that Smith was going to be on his way out once the season was over, it wasn’t until the team made the move that it became official, and the coaching search began for Atlanta.
All signs pointed to the Falcons going after Bill Belichick, formerly of the New England Patriots, but even though they brought him in for two interviews, the team decided to go in a different direction by hiring former Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris.
The decision to make Morris their head coach was met with some high praise from one of his former star players, with Jalen Ramsey, currently of the Miami Dolphins, taking to Twitter to praise the Falcons for making the right choice.
“Falcons got one of, if not the best coach in the NFL forreal,” Ramsey said.

Even though the Falcons have been receiving some praise for hiring Morris, he’ll have his work cut out for him in Atlanta, with the team having plenty of questions that need to be answered, especially at the quarterback position.
The Falcons will likely be active during the NFL offseason to either bring in a veteran quarterback or to go young in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft.
