The Detroit Lions hadn’t been to the NFC Championship Game in over 30 years.
They’re one of the few franchises that have never made it to the Super Bowl, and you know that’s the only thing on their minds right now.
However, oddsmakers don’t seem to like their chances of pulling off the upset in the Bay area.
They’re currently 7.5-point underdogs ahead of the big game vs. the San Francisco 49ers.
Even so, former WR DeSean Jackson gives them the nod to get the job done.
Talking to Kay Adams on her Up & Adams Show, the Philadelphia Eagles great claimed that he didn’t like what he saw from the Niners in the NFC Divisional Round win over the Green Bay Packers.
“I like the Lions, yeah I’m gonna take the Lions,” Jackson said.
“I didn’t see the Brock Purdy that I was expecting to see and that kinda worries me…”

He specifically addressed Brock Purdy, adding that he didn’t see the kind of performance he expected and that he’s now worried about that moving forward.
Jackson then predicted that the Lions would not only cover the spread but win the game outright.
Needless to say, that’s going to be easier said than done.
Then again, the Packers did have the Niners against the ropes, and it took a missed field goal and a late-game go-ahead drive to take down the No. 7 seed.
This Lions team is hard-fighting and stubborn; they’re going to keep fighting no matter what.
And while the Niners have the most talented roster in the league right now, we’ve seen these kinds of teams fall short of their goals way too many times in the past already.
