The Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs face off in the AFC title game this weekend with a shot at the Super Bowl on the line.
While this is the sixth consecutive trip to the conference final for the Chiefs, it’s the first for the Ravens since they won the Super Bowl in 2012.
The Chiefs proved their resilience after some adversity earlier this year, but NFL Network’s Kyle Brandt predicts that the Ravens will pull off the win with Lamar Jackson because of the team around him.
“It just feels like the Ravens’ year to me,” Brandt said. “It feels like they’ve waited their turn. … I think the Ravens role players are slightly better and maybe slightly more dependable than the Kansas City Chiefs’ [players].”

The Ravens vaulted to the top of the AFC thanks to Jackson’s MVP-worthy season and the No. 1 defense in the NFL.
As Brandt mentioned, the Ravens also have a quality group of skill position players like Odell Beckham Jr., Zay Flowers, Isaiah Likely, and Mark Andrews, who the team just activated off injured reserve this week following an elongated absence from an ankle injury.
The Ravens may have the better team on paper, but the Chiefs have the best quarterback in the NFL with Patrick Mahomes under center as they look to go back to the Super Bowl and defend their Lombardi Trophy.
A lot of legacies are on the line in this game and the two quarterbacks could decide who wins and who goes home in a pivotal AFC matchup.
