The Kansas City Chiefs may not be the explosive offense they used to be, but they still have the personnel to keep pace with any team.
The Chiefs were able to outlast the Buffalo Bills in another classic game and advanced to the AFC Championship Round to play the Baltimore Ravens.
For the first time since Patrick Mahomes became Kansas City’s starting quarterback, the reigning Super Bowl champions are the road underdogs in the AFC Championship game.
That’s a testament to the Ravens who have been playing the best all-around football thanks to John Harbaugh and Lamar Jackson.
Jackson is in line to win his second MVP award, though will need to beat Mahomes to cement his status as one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
Meanwhile, Mahomes is so good that people like Mina Kimes believe he’s being overlooked now via The Right Time with Bomani Jones.
“I think people have taken him for granted a little bit,” Kimes said.

When a player is as good as Mahomes, it can be easy for the media and fans to forget how special they can be.
Mahomes may not have had the same sort of offensive season that the Chiefs have become accustomed to, but he remains one of the most creative quarterbacks in the league.
Mahomes can make every throw in the book and has a knack for making plays when under duress.
The Chiefs didn’t give Mahomes enough weapons in the passing game this season, but the Super Bowl MVP has made things work so far and will need to continue to do so if he hopes to capture his third Super Bowl ring.
