According to multiple reports, the Cleveland Browns are going after Houston Texans QB coach Jerrod Johnson for their offensive coordinator position.
Now, however, it seems like he could be reunited with a former fellow staff member if he decides to join the team.
According to a report by Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the Browns have now hired Jacques Cesaire to be their next defensive line coach.
The #Browns are hiring Jacques Cesaire as their defensive line coach, per source.
A nine-year NFL veteran as a player, Cesaire coached Houston’s D-line the past two seasons.

Cesaire spent nine years in the league as a player.
The Texans reportedly didn’t renew his contract to keep him on DeMeco Ryans’ staff, but it didn’t take long before he found himself a new job.
Cesaire was a defensive end for the Los Angeles Chargers in the early 2000s, and he has also served as a defensive line coach for the Buffalo Bills.
Notably, the Houston Texans had one of the best defenses against the run last season.
The Browns had a championship-caliber defense under Jim Schwartz, and they have the personnel to be equally as dominant for years to come.
This could be a huge hire for Kevin Stefanski’s team as the Browns look to get back to the playoffs, this time, hoping to have Deshaun Watson back on the field.
