After making it all the way to the Super Bowl in 2022, the Philadelphia Eagles and head coach Nick Sirianni came into the 2023 season with some pretty high expectations.
At first, it seemed like the Eagles were going to meet those lofty expectations, as they started the 2023 campaign with a 10-1 record.
But then Philadelphia went on to lose six of their final seven games, including a loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the first round of the playoffs.
After that final loss, the Eagles decided to part with offensive coordinator Brian Johnson and defensive coordinator Sean Desai.
Philadelphia has already found replacements for both coaches as they recently agreed to terms with Vic Fangio to be their new defensive coordinator and Kellen Moore to be their new offensive coordinator.
Both hires seem like massive upgrades compared to the guys that held the position before Fangio and Moore, and former Eagles quarterback Chase Daniel is someone who agrees with this, as he called these moves “huge hires” in a recent post on his Twitter account.
Kellen Moore AND Vic Fangio for Eagles…Sirianni not playing this year. Huge hires

Fangio spent the 2023 season as the defensive coordinator for the Miami Dolphins, and despite helping that unit take strides in the right direction, he decided to leave the team and head to Philadelphia after just one year.
As for Moore, his 2023 season was a forgettable one, as he was stuck being the offensive coordinator for a Los Angeles Chargers team that finished with an underwhelming 5-12 record.
Moore did experience success prior to 2023, however, when he was the offensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys for four seasons, and that version of the coach is the one the Eagles are hoping to get.
