The Baltimore Ravens crushed winning teams all season long, but not when it mattered the most.
Even in their postseason loss, they proved that they could contain the best players in the game, but it was too late already.
That’s why Skip Bayless claimed to be ‘torn apart’ when he watched the Kansas City Chiefs beat them in the AFC Championship Game.
Talking on Undisputed, Bayless talked about how an elite defense simply seemed to refuse to cover Travis Kelce in the first half, allowing him to get nine receptions and be wide-open for a touchdown.
“It tore me apart to sit and watch this happen,” Bayless said.

Bayless claimed that it took the Ravens’ defense until the second half to finally say ‘Enough is enough’ and make adjustments, and they completely shut down Patrick Mahomes and company.
He pointed out the fact that before that late-game throw to Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Mahomes had thrown for just a total of 36 yards in the second half, with Travis Kelce getting two grabs for 20 yards.
The Ravens’ defense also forced five punts in as many possessions in the second half.
However, Lamar Jackson and company also failed to move the chains, and Steve Spagnuolo’s defense proved to be a championship-caliber defense as well.
At the end of the day, the Chiefs proved why they’ve been to the Super Bowl four times in six years with Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid leading the way.
The Ravens will continue to be a powerhouse, but this loss will sting for a long time.
