The New England Patriots had a dismal display in their trip to Arlington.
The offense’s struggles spoiled Ezekiel Elliott’s homecoming, with the Dallas Cowboys’ stout defense shutting down absolutely everything Bill Belichick and Bill O’Brien threw at them.
That’s why former NFL coach Rex Ryan unleashed his wrath on Mac Jones again, doubling down on his “peashooter” nickname and claiming that he just doesn’t have a lot of arm talent.
Rex Ryan went off on Mac Jones
“Maybe the weakest arm for all starting quarterbacks in the league. … To think this guy is going to take you to where you want to go, you’re absolutely crazy.” pic.twitter.com/K71usCNiP3

Ryan stated that he’s not a hater, but he would love to argue against him, urging the rest of the “Get Up” panel to find a less talented quarterback than Jones.
He also looked down on his high completion percentage, stating that it’s all because he’s throwing screen and hitch passes, adding that he cannot throw outside of the numbers or vertically because of his lack of arm strength.
This isn’t the first time that Ryan has been ruthless with his criticism of the Alabama product.
And while Jones has had some very solid performances in his career, especially in his rookie season, he didn’t do a lot to help his case in Texas, even being benched for Bailey Zappe.
Jones completed just 12 of 21 passes for 150 yards and two interceptions, leading the Patriots to just three points.
The Cowboys defense has limited three of their rivals to 10 points or less, so it’s not like he was facing an easy task.
But with all the questions about his job security and considering how things went for him last season, this doesn’t look good at all right now.
