The Dallas Cowboys made a controversial decision to kick off their offseason.
More specifically, Jerry Jones made that controversial decision.
Mike McCarthy’s regular-season record is remarkable, but holding onto him after watching the team collapse in the playoffs — again — this time against the No. 7 seed, was questionable, to say the least.
Recently, Jones claimed that they would go ‘all-in’ in the offseason.
Then again, it’s hard to take his word for that after he didn’t show any sort of interest in Bill Belichick or Jim Harbaugh during the coaching cycle.
With that in mind, NFL analyst Mark Schlereth says the Cowboys will never win anything as long as their organizational structure stays the same.
“As long as the organizational structure is screwed up, I don’t think the Cowboys win anything,” Schlereth said.

Talking on The Carton Show, he explained that with Jerry Jones not answering to anybody or being held accountable, there’s simply no way things change in Arlington:
Simply put, no GM would’ve lasted that long in his job after so many years of shortcomings and postseason collapses.
Jones is one of the best and most successful business owners and businessmen on Earth, and you have to give him his flowers for everything he’s done for the team as a brand.
Still, his job has never been in jeopardy, and perhaps that lack of pressure or sense of urgency has set this team back.
The Cowboys have everything they need to get over the hump, but Jones might have to take a step aside for it to happen.
