The Dallas Cowboys were one of the best teams in the league during the regular season.
Then, just like it has happened over the past couple of years, they couldn’t be at their best when the lights were the brightest, losing at home to put an end to their promising campaign.
With that in mind, team owner and GM Jerry Jones claimed that they would go ‘all-in’ in the offseason.
However, not many people bought into his words, especially considering the fact that he didn’t fire Mike McCarthy after one of the most painful losses in franchise history.
That’s why Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe took to Twitter to make fun of Jones’ words, simply saying ‘1 and DONE.’

The table seemed set for the Cowboys to make a deep postseason run this season, with Dak Prescott playing at his highest level, CeeDee Lamb becoming an All-Pro wide receiver, and a talented-yet underachieving defensive unit.
McCarthy has plenty of pedigree in the league and is a proven winner in the regular season, but he’s struggled to find success in the playoffs since that Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers more than a decade ago.
This team isn’t that far away from being one of the best in the league.
Then again, the front office — namely, Jerry Jones — has been either reluctant or unable to address their most evident issues, so it’s hard to think anything can change unless something changes.
