After winning 10 of their first 11 games, the Philadelphia Eagles suffered a spectacular sustained collapse which rivals any other in recent NFL history.
Last season’s NFC champions lost six of their last seven regular-season games, which included back-to-back blowout losses to the San Francisco 49ers and Dallas Cowboys, and they ultimately fell 32-9 in the wild-card round of the playoffs to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
This fall from grace has led to speculation about head coach Nick Sirianni’s future amidst speculation that he may have lost the locker room.
But star center Jason Kelce said some very complimentary things about him and the job he has done, per New Heights.
“Nick, and I really mean this, is one of the best coaches I’ve been around at talking about coaching situational ball, really understanding what to do in the right moment, motivating guys,” Kelce said.
“Nick has a lot to bring as value as the Head Coach”

When Philly forged a 10-1 record, many felt they were the best team in football and were at least the favorites to return to the Super Bowl.
But once things fell apart in December, they seemingly took themselves out of the running for the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
The big culprit for them was their defense, which was second in total yards allowed last season but ranked just 26th in that category and 30th in points given up in 2023.
The Eagles have made significant changes to Sirianni’s staff by bringing in Vic Fangio to be their new defensive coordinator and Kellen Moore to serve as their offensive coordinator.
In addition, they’re hiring Clint Hurtt, formerly of the Seattle Seahawks, to be their new defensive line coach.
In the end, the proof will be in the pudding, and at the very least, the Eagles seem to have the talent to reach the NFC Championship Game again in about a year.
