After another disastrous regular season, Los Angeles Chargers owner Dean Spanos decided to clean house.
Spanos fired general manager Tom Telesco and head coach Brandon Staley, replacing them with Joe Hortiz and Jim Harbaugh, respectively.
The Chargers were in desperate need of change, but now appear to at least have the infrastructure in place to finally get back on track.
Hortiz will need to make some tough cuts in the offseason because Los Angeles is currently over the cap, meaning they’ll need to rely on their younger players to step up in 2024.
For example, wide receiver Quentin Johnston should be featured more with Mike Williams recovering from injury and Keenan Allen getting older.
Johnston had a tough rookie season, but he believes that his best has yet to come via B/R Gridiron.

Los Angeles had high hopes for Johnston when they took him in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
A big-body receiver with great speed and athleticism, Johnston was supposed to be another field-stretcher for Justin Herbert but had a rocky start.
Johnston’s snap share dwindled as the regular season progressed, though he got more opportunities late in the year with Williams and Allen hurt.
Overall, Johnston recorded 38 receptions for 431 yards and two touchdowns, not quite the production the Chargers were expecting to see.
However, Harbaugh should be able to get Johnston more involved in the offense and help the young wideout live up to his draft status.
