The New York Jets made one of their biggest moves in franchise history when they decided to trade for Aaron Rodgers.
They had been a quarterback away from contention for quite a while now, and they decided to go after one of the best in the history of the game.
Unfortunately, we all saw how that ended, as Rodgers was only able to stay on the field for one offensive series before missing the remainder of the season with an Achilles injury.
Now, a report by The Athletic has shed light on how things transpired within the organization last season, making it seem like Rodgers held the franchise hostage and was the actual decision-maker behind closed doors.
Nevertheless, NFL analyst Craig Carton couldn’t care less about that.
Talking on The Carton Show, he claimed that even if that report was true, there’s no reason not to run it back with Aaron Rodgers next season.
“If Aaron Rodgers stays healthy, the New York Jets are a top 3 or 4 team in the league, not just the conference,” Carton said.

He believes that a healthy Rodgers would make them a top-3 or top-4 team in the entire league, not just in the conference.
The Jets have some issues to address, obviously, and this will most likely be Robert Saleh’s final chance to prove his worth as a coach.
But if Rodgers stays healthy and they work on that offensive line, this is a Super Bowl-caliber team we’re talking about.
