It took him a while, but Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons finally spoke up on their playoff loss.
The third-year pro admitted that he was embarrassed to show his face after such a tough loss, which is why he waited 17 days before acknowledging the situation.
Then again, his comments didn’t do a lot to appease the fan base, the team, or anything around the team.
If anything, he just added more fuel to the fire.
Talking on his podcast, Parsons claimed he hoped the team would add the players they need this offseason, which is something they failed to do last year.
That could sound like a shot at Jerry Jones, but it’s also a shot at his current teammates, and it rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.
Notably, that includes NFL analyst and Cowboys fan Skip Bayless.
Talking on Undisputed, Bayless claimed that as much as he wants to love Parsons because he’s seen how impactful he can be when he’s at his best, he just can’t ignore the fact that his production takes a massive dip in both crucial moments and crucial games.
“It sounds like you’re making an excuse. Keep it to yourself,” Bayless said.
I don’t know what good it does to put this out in public. It sounds like you’re making an excuse. Keep it to yourself. https://t.co/0VtGY6JrCr

On top of that, he said that no one thought this Cowboys team was a flawed team at the beginning or throughout the course of the season, as they had plenty of talent on both sides of the field.
Bayless believes Parsons is just making up excuses for the loss.
Parsons is one of the most talented young players in the league, but he has to earn his stripes before making these kinds of comments, and this isn’t a good look for him or the team right now.
