The Kansas City Chiefs have been one of the most popular teams in the NFL since Patrick Mahomes took over as their full-time starter.
He has been one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks for the past several seasons, bringing the Chiefs great success during his tenure.
They might have been popular before the 2023 season, but the hype surrounding the Chiefs is seemingly at an all-time high.
As a recent report from CNBC pointed out, once Taylor Swift started coming to their games, viewership skyrocketed.
They mention, “You saw ratings for the NFL go up by 7% collectively the day after Taylor Swift attended her first game.”
With this in mind, the “Last Call” crew on CNBC indicates that this “will be the highest watched Super Bowl in history,” according to many of their advanced analytics.
“Based on our data cloud, we’re projecting that this will be the highest watched Super Bowl in history,” says @zetaglobal‘s @dsteinberg10000. “You saw ratings for the NFL go up by 7% collectively the day after @taylorswift13 attended her first game.” pic.twitter.com/z21haPgoja

Swift is seemingly the most popular musical artist in the world right now, and her fanbase is loyal to her, dedicated to following her every move.
Once she started dating Travis Kelce, the NFL saw an influx of new fans, people who had likely never been fans of the league before, much less the Chiefs.
Swift has a concert in Tokyo the night before the Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl.
While it isn’t confirmed, it is believed that Swift will be flying back for the big game to support Kelce.
She might not necessarily be at the game for it to break a record, but if she attends, the amount of Swifties that tune in could really change the tides of viewership.
