The Baltimore Ravens were within one game of the Super Bowl this season after skyrocketing up to the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
They fell to the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs and will now have to re-evaluate their roster to make another run in 2024.
The Ravens’ first order of business is to prioritize their long list of internal pending free agents ahead of the offseason, something Baltimore GM Eric DeCosta bluntly stated the team would look at to keep their core intact.
“We’ll be busy,” DeCosta said.

Last year, the big-name free agent was quarterback Lamar Jackson, who the team locked up on a lucrative long-term extension after he was allowed to search for a trade partner.
This time around, the Ravens have a lot of role players who could leave in free agency, such as wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Nelson Agholor, right guard Kevin Zeitler, running backs Gus Edwards and J.K Dobbins, and linebacker Patrick Queen.
Who the Ravens retain should signal what the team’s plans will be in unrestricted free agency and the draft later this spring.
Baltimore will also have a new defensive coordinator this year after the Ravens promoted linebackers coach Zach Orr to the position following Mike Macdonald’s departure to become the head coach of the Seattle Seahawks.
A return to the AFC title game isn’t out of the question for the Ravens, but the road could be a bit harder depending on what the team does this offseason while divisional foes like the Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns get healthier.
