The Kansas City Chiefs will play in their fourth Super Bowl in five years with quarterback Patrick Mahomes and head coach Andy Reid at the helm.
This duo is turning into what Tom Brady and Bill Belichick were for the New England Patriots for 20 seasons before Brady left for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
As such, former NFL running back LeSean McCoy, who played for the Chiefs during their first Super Bowl victory against the San Francisco 49ers in 2019, told FanDuel TV’s Kay Adams on the “Up & Adams” show that he’s going to bet $100,000 that Kansas City wins.
“In this era, you never bet against Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes,” McCoy said. “I’m putting 100 grand on it.”

The Chiefs looked like a very different team in 2023. They had major concerns going into the playoffs despite another AFC West title.
But Kansas City dispelled those concerns quickly with a big win over the Miami Dolphins in the wild card round, a tight win over the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round, and an upset win over the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC title game – the final two of which were on the road.
The Super Bowl is a different beast and the 49ers are one of the best teams in the league, but if there’s a quarterback and head coach combo that can overcome any odds, it’s Mahomes and Reid right now.
McCoy is willing to put his money where his mouth is – or so he says – and then it’ll be up to the Chiefs to prove him right on Super Bowl Sunday.
