Ahead of the AFC Championship Game against the Baltimore Ravens, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Kadarius Toney took to social media with a tirade that many thought would end his time with the defending Super Bowl champions.
Toney was ruled out for the game against the Ravens, which was a costly blow for the Chiefs, who were already shorthanded on offense.
However, Toney claimed he was not hurt as the team reported and that he was fine to play the game, but the Chiefs were holding him out for some unknown reason.
Toney’s tirade went viral and led to much speculation about his immediate future with the team and whether he’d play in the Super Bowl against the San Francisco 49ers on February 11.
On Friday, during his media availability, superstar tight end Travis Kelce addressed the Toney situation by sending a message to him through the media, according to Jordan Foote of Arrowhead Report.
“What’s real is what happens in this building and how we can channel that,” Kelce said. “I just wanted him to make sure he knew we’re all still behind him and ready to go get this Super Bowl.”

At this point in time, it is uncertain whether Toney will be given the nod to play in the Super Bowl next week, as no one seems to know where he stands with head coach Andy Reid and his teammates.
The Chiefs continue to list Toney on the injury report as he’s been a limited participant in practice this week along with Chris Jones and Skyy Moore.
Only time will tell if Toney will be given the green light to play in the Super Bowl and what role he’ll have if able to play against the 49ers next weekend.
