The Kansas City Chiefs gained a big supporter in 2023 when international pop star Taylor Swift started dating tight end Travis Kelce and attending games.
But with Swift came an avalanche of criticism from all over the world – from those who dislike the singer and from those who dislike the attention she’s received from the NFL and it’s broadcast partners.
Another member of the Chiefs, safety Justin Reid, told TMZ that he likes Swift and doesn’t understand why she’s received so much negative attention since she started dating his teammate and watching games.
“She’s very, very sweet,” Reid said … “I don’t understand why she’s getting all the hate. She’s an awesome person, awesome artist all around.”

Rumors of Swift and Kelce’s relationship began earlier this season after she attended the Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears in Week 3.
She went to 12 games since then, including the Chiefs’ past three postseason games against the Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, and Baltimore Ravens.
It’s unclear if Swift will attend Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas, if only because she has a concert in Toyko, Japan, a few days before the big game.
But since she was shown kissing Kelce at the end of the AFC title game, pundits from both the sports and political world have begun to vilify her presence, despite numerous other celebrities attending games as well.
So from Reid’s point of view, Swift isn’t only one of the most famous people in the world showing up to Chiefs games – she’s the partner of one of his teammates.
