In 2022, the Cincinnati Bengals began their season with an 0-2 record, but they were able to eventually get things back on track and make it all the way to last season’s AFC Championship.
This year, the Bengals are 1-3 after their first four games, and it’s hard to envision them having as much success as they did during the 2022 season.
The health of Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow has been a concern for the team this year, and some believe the Bengals should consider sitting Burrow for a game or two to let his injuries have a better chance to heal properly.
However, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor put these thoughts to bed on Monday when he stated in his press conference that Burrow will remain the team’s starting quarterback when they take on the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5.

After finishing with the seventh-best scoring offense in 2021 and 2022, Cincinnati is currently dead last in the NFL in terms of points scored per game, with an average of just 12.3 per matchup.
The Bengals are also the current home of the second-worst rushing attack and the fourth-worst passing offense in the league after the first four games of the season.
Something just hasn’t been right about Cincinnati this year, and many keep coming back to the health of Burrow holding the team back.
Taylor clearly isn’t ready to give up on fixing his offense with Burrow out on the field just yet, but if the Bengals struggle again in their upcoming game against the Cardinals, then the head coach might have to reconsider his decision about the team’s quarterback.
