The NFL has been something of a whirlwind since the regular season concluded.
Teams have been antsy to hire new coaches, hoping to strike while the iron is hot, stealing potential candidates away from their opponents.
This has led to a quick hiring circle, as all of the open head coaching roles have been snatched up, along with many of the coordinator positions.
Many believed that, once the Washington Commanders finalized their newest head coach, the offensive coordinator role would follow suit.
Adam Schefter has officially reported that Kliff Kingsbury is taking this job, working alongside Dan Quinn in a new-look Commanders scheme.

This was a surprising hire for many fans, especially since it appeared that Kingsbury was going to take the job with the Las Vegas Raiders.
After withdrawing himself from consideration for that position, it seemed like he had something else in mind, which we now know to be the case.
With Kingsbury now going to the Commanders, many fans are speculating that this could indicate that the Commanders might be in on Caleb Williams.
The hiring of Kingsbury hasn’t been received well by the fanbase, and many have wondered what has happened to Eric Bieniemy.
Bieniemy joined the Commanders from the Kansas City Chiefs, a coordinator who was lauded for his work with Patrick Mahomes.
Many expected him to retain this role at the very least, if not take over as head coach once Ron Rivera was fired.
The organization decided to go in a different direction, leaving Bieniemy’s role up in the air and fans largely disappointed.
