The Kansas City Chiefs faced plenty of criticism and mockery this season.
Some claimed that they were done and they wouldn’t be able to make it back to the big game, yet here they are.
Unsurprisingly, most of that has had to do with Patrick Mahomes and his stellar play, not to mention how scared other teams tend to be when he’s on the opposing sideline.
With that in mind, former NFL star Plaxico Burress believes there’s no way that Brock Purdy can outplay him in the Super Bowl.
Talking on The Carton Show, Burress claimed that Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo is going to have something new for Purdy, something he has never seen before:
“Brock Purdy will not outperform Patrick Mahomes in the Super Bowl for one reason only, and his name is Steve Spagnuolo. He will have something for Brock Purdy that he has not seen,” he said.

That’s why he just doesn’t see him outdueling the best quarterback in the game.
Truth be told, and no disrespect to Purdy whatsoever, but the Niners can’t pin their hopes on Purdy having a better game than Patrick Mahomes; that’s just not going to happen.
Then again, it’s not like they need their quarterback to win that game on his own for them.
They have a solid and established running game, an elite defense, and some of the most talented skill players in the game.
The Niners need to make sure that this is a collective effort if they want to stand a chance to take home the Vince Lombardi trophy.
It won’t be easy, and they’ve already been on the losing end against Mahomes and company at this stage, but it’s not impossible.
