The Cincinnati Bengals‘ season has played out differently than many expected.
At 1-3, the Bengals have found themselves at the bottom of the AFC North, a division they have dominated since the rise of Joe Burrow.
While there is still time for the Bengals to turn things around, Craig Carton has recently said “The season’s over.”

Carton said that the Bengals’ offense “stinks,” and that “2023 is a wrap for the Cincinnati Bengals.”
He looked through the Bengals’ next several games on the schedule, trying to figure out games they might be able to pull out a win.
Carton gave a slight edge to the Bengals in their upcoming matchup with the Arizona Cardinals but ultimately decided they weren’t likely to win that contest.
He also talked about their games with the Seattle Seahawks, San Francisco 49ers, and Buffalo Bills, not seeing a victory in any of those games.
The Bengals might have entered the season with high expectations, but things still have not gone their way.
Injuries have plagued this team, as Burrow is still recovering from his offseason injury, and Tee Higgins recently fell to a rib injury.
With everything considered, the road to a playoff berth seems unlikely for the Bengals.
Carton has already declared their season dead, and other analysts are well on their way to doing so as well.
Although Burrow is the face of the franchise, especially after they gave him a massive contract extension, this year could be one to forget if Carton’s predictions come to fruition.
