The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers are set and ready to compete in the Super Bowl.
Both teams have taken different paths to get to this point, and both teams have different roster builds.
The 49ers were dominant on both sides of the ball all season, while the story for the Chiefs was their defense, for the most part.
Brock Purdy has now established himself as the 49ers’ starter, despite being a seventh-round pick that many people counted out.
He has played well this year and has gotten praise from many of his opponents, including Patrick Mahomes.
As he said of Purdy via the 49ers on NBCS, “He’s a winner, that’s what he is, it takes something to be a winner every day,” Mahomes said.

Mahomes knows a thing or two about winning, as he already has two Super Bowl victories to this point, and is eyeing his third.
He did point out the fact that he won the first Super Bowl he participated in, something he hopes Purdy will not do.
With all of the storylines and conversations surrounding this game, it should be one of the best Super Bowls in recent memory.
Many networks and data analysts predict this to be the most-watched Super Bowl of all time, both for on and off-field events.
Will Mahomes and Purdy give fans the shootout that they are searching for?
A big question will be if the young quarterback can keep up with the veteran, something that could be heavily analyzed in the offseason.
