The New York Giants made a massive offseason move by trading for Darren Waller.
Waller was expected to be a part of the long-term planning in Las Vegas, so this move came as a surprise to many.
With a move like this, many expected the Giants’ offense to improve this season.
However, it doesn’t appear that Waller’s presence has made a monumental impact to this point.
After the Giants’ loss to the Seahawks, Waller was interviewed by Ralph Vacchiano of FOX Sports.
When asked about this loss, Waller said, “I don’t have a lot of words right now.”

This is an indication that Waller is frustrated with the state of the offense, and perhaps his role on the team.
In four games, Waller has totaled 15 receptions for 153 yards.
He hasn’t had as large of a role as expected, largely due to the lack of output from Daniel Jones.
Jones has been on the hot seat due to his performance thus far, getting significant flak from media outlets throughout the country.
With a 1-3 record, this scrutiny might be warranted.
If the Giants want to succeed moving forward, utilizing Waller more in this offense might be a good place to start.
He has proven to be one of the league’s top tight ends, a major reason the Giants signed him in the first place.
Without an alpha WR1 in this offense, Waller could be a great place to turn, especially if Saquon Barkley’s absence continues.
Will Jones and Waller be able to turn this team around?
