The MLB free agency period is still in full swing.
While so many of the top free agents have already signed, there are still some very good ones available.
One difference-making player looking for a new home is Blake Snell.
He is the reigning NL Cy Young award winner and should be in for a lucrative payday.
But, it could still be a while until we see Snell sign.
According to Jon Heyman via B/R Walk-Off, Snell is “waiting patiently.”
There seems to be no timetable as to when he will sign.

But, spring training does commence later this month so Snell should not wait too long.
We have seen some star players wait until spring training begins to sign.
Sometimes teams find out they have a need on their roster that needs to be filled.
Snell could end up getting a better contract if a team becomes more desperate.
Last season, Snell was dominant across 180.0 innings.
He struck out 234 batters in that span while pitching to an ERA of 2.25.
The only issue for Snell is he has command problems.
He walked a league-leading 99 batters last year.
While it did not come back to bite him, it is never ideal to allow free baserunners.
Snell has played eight years in MLB for the Tampa Bay Rays and San Diego Padres.
It is becoming clear that his ninth season will be with a new franchise.
Any team that is willing to open up their checkbook will get a dynamic arm that can influence the MLB landscape.
