Super Bowl LVIII will be a rematch of the big game from four years ago, and it will feature the defending world champion Kansas City Chiefs and the ultra-talented San Francisco 49ers.
There’s always pressure on both teams in this situation, as having the opportunity to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy must be treated as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
But on FS1’s “Speak,” Emannuel Acho said all the pressure is on the 49ers, as they must realize that this could be their last trip to final game of the year for quite some time.
“It’s all on the Niners because they’ve lived it,” Acho said.

Although their roster looks different than it did four years ago, much of the core remains the same.
Defensive end Nick Bosa, middle linebacker Fred Warner, fullback Kyle Juszczyk, tight end George Kittle, and wide receiver Deebo Samuel are just some of the key veterans who remain from that 2019 squad that blew a late 10-point lead in Super Bowl LIV to Mahomes and the Chiefs.
Of course, this year’s Niners have a different flavor thanks to quarterback Brock Purdy, All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey, and wideout Brandon Aiyuk, none of whom were with them for that last trip to the Super Bowl.
It is rare for an NFL team to make it back to the Super Bowl after losing there, and if San Francisco loses this time, they will likely have to endure talk that their championship window is closing.
On the other hand, as Acho pointed out, Kansas City now appears to have the confidence that as long as Mahomes is around and healthy, they will likely get to the big game, no matter who he has to assist him at the wide receiver position.
