After superstar quarterback Tom Brady walked away from the game before the start of the 2023 NFL season, the future Hall of Famer put together a career that any other player might never surpass, as he won seven Super Bowl titles.
Few have been able to give a legitimate argument about why Brady isn’t the greatest quarterback in NFL history, as he has been as successful as any player the league has ever seen.
Although Brady’s career accomplishments look insurmountable, Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs may have a chance to get close or potentially beat the New England Patriots legend in a different way.
According to former player LeSean McCoy, Mahomes may not be able to get seven rings like Brady, but he might be able to surpass his numbers, via “Speak” on FS1.
“If he plays as long as Tom Brady, and he doesn’t get to seven rings, he gets to six, his numbers are going to kill Tom’s,” McCoy said.

Although Mahomes may be on the path to eventually reaching and potentially passing Brady in some areas, he still has a long way to go and must stay healthy and productive throughout the process, which is easier said than done.
Fortunately for Mahomes, he plays in a league much more prone to protecting the quarterback, which bodes well for him staying healthy for the long haul.
However, there’s no telling what’s in store for Mahomes in the future, making the rest of his career that much more interesting and compelling moving forward.
