The New York Giants struggled mightily this season.
Daniel Jones couldn’t keep up the momentum after posting career-best numbers in his first year under Brian Daboll.
On top of that, he’s set to miss a big portion of the upcoming campaign, which obviously raises plenty of questions about his future with the organization.
With that in mind, NFL analyst Ryan Wilson predicted that the team could catch a massive break in the upcoming NFL Draft, as he believes UNC star QB Drake Maye could fall right into their laps at No. 6 (via WBG84).

Maye has been projected to go as high as No. 2 behind only Caleb Williams, so that would be a bit of a surprise.
Even if he’s not taken at No. 2 and the Washington Commanders — or whoever owns that pick by then — decide to go with Jayden Daniels instead, the New England Patriots wouldn’t mind taking Maye with the very next selection.
Should that be the case, analysts believe Maye would actually benefit from slipping in the first round, as he’d be joining a team with a great offensive mind in Brian Daboll, some offensive weapons, and even maybe Saquon Barkley.
The Giants played their best football at the end of the season with Tyrod Taylor and Tommy DeVito, so it’s not like they’re that far behind, and they do boast a solid defense.
Maye has a sky-high upside as an intelligent and athletic dual-threat quarterback who can make throws at all levels, and he could be a seamless fit in that system.
