The Kansas City Chiefs are the team to beat in the league right now.
That won’t change regardless of what happens on Sunday.
That means Andy Reid is still quite relevant in the league.
However, given his age, people continue to speculate whether this will finally be his last run and if he will walk away at the end of the season.
With that in mind, Patrick Mahomes was quick to dismiss that narrative and shut down the rumors of his retirement, stating “I’m highly doubtful.’ (via James Palmer).

This is far from a surprise.
Sixty-five years old or not, the Chiefs are on the verge of becoming a dynasty, and a win on Sunday could give them the single-greatest five-year stretch in NFL history.
Also, he would have an opportunity to coach the first three-peat in the history of this league.
Even if he loses, the Chiefs will continue to have a strong chance to win the whole thing for as long as Patrick Mahomes is out there, and it’s not like his offensive ideas are outdated by any means.
We all know Coach Reid isn’t getting any younger, and he’s earned a right to get some well-deserved rest.
Still, it would feel like a disservice to football to see him walk away despite still having so much more to give.
