The Kansas City Chiefs made history by entering the short list of teams that have won back-to-back Super Bowls.
Needless to say, that was an event worth watching, and it seems like every game involving this team is just history in the making.
Of course, that has also turned them into the team everyone loves to hate, and there were countless fans waiting for their downfall.
That’s why it’s not much of a surprise to see that Super Bowl LVIII actually set a viewership record, according to a report by CBS Sports’ PR department.
The big game set a new record with a whopping 123.4 million average viewers across all platforms.
Also, 202.4 million people watched all or parts of the Super Bowl, which is the highest unduplicated total audience in history and up 10% from the previous edition of the big game.
CBS Sports’ presentation of Super Bowl LVIII is the most-watched telecast in history with a total audience delivery of 123.4 million average viewers across platforms.

The San Francisco 49ers also have a huge following all over the world, and with the Chiefs becoming so popular during the Andy Reid era, this is far from shocking.
On top of that, as much as some fans would hate to admit this, the Taylor Swift effect cannot be ignored either.
Her relationship with Travis Kelce has put social media into a frenzy, and the pop superstar’s loyal following has also turned to football to support the future Hall of Fame tight end.
Whatever the case, we’re just entering the Patrick Mahomes era, and over 200 million people watched them officially turn into the latest dynasty in pro football.
