It’s the dawn of a new era for the Atlanta Falcons.
Following a thorough interview process, the team eventually decided to go with Raheem Morris to be their next coach.
However, that wasn’t their only issue heading into the offseason.
Their quarterback situation has been subpar, to say the least, since Matt Ryan left, and it doesn’t seem like their quarterback of the future is currently on their roster.
Still, team owner Arthur Blank recently admitted that there’s no defined plan in place regarding the QB position right now (via ProFootballTalk).
“I would tell you quite honestly: 1,000 percent, there’s not a defined plan, but it is being talked about,” Blank said, via the team’s website. “And it’ll be talked about pretty intensely — I would say — over the next coming weeks.”

Blank did say that the team will discuss it’s strategy on that matter soon.
The Falcons trusted Desmond Ridder to be their guy, but there were always big doubts about his status as an NFL-caliber quarterback.
Fast forward to today, and it’s become painfully evident that he might not be the right guy for the job.
The Falcons have been tied with a potential trade for Georgia native Justin Fields, as the Chicago Bears have the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft and they could look to get QB Caleb Williams out of USC with it.
They could also go after a proven veteran like Russell Wilson, Ryan Tannehill, or even Kirk Cousins, but they might only be a stopgap until they find a young guy for the future.
Whatever the case, one thing’s for sure: They shouldn’t expect different results if they continue to field the same players, regardless of who’s calling the shots from the sidelines.
