The Houston Texans just found their franchise cornerstone.
C.J. Stroud had one of the greatest seasons by a rookie quarterback this game has ever seen, and he has already established himself among the best.
Notably, it seems like he could’ve also found success in a different sport.
Talking to Micah Parsons on his podcast, Stroud revealed that he actually dominated an NBA rookie.
Apparently, playing varsity basketball, the Ohio State product put up 40 points on Miami Heat young star Jaime Jaquez Jr., who was the starting center for the other team (via Bleacher Report).

It clearly seems like Stroud’s athleticism translated perfectly to football, and he was just made for the big moment.
Following a remarkable collegiate career with the Buckeyes, Stroud made it to the league as the No. 2 pick, and he ran away with Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.
With him, the Houston Texans went from winning a grand total of three games last season to winning a divisional crown this year.
He even led the team to their first playoff win since 2019, posting MVP-caliber numbers for most of the year.
Some people are just born that way; they are meant to succeed in sports.
Now, it’ll be interesting to see if Jaime Jaquez Jr. challenges Stroud to a rematch and whether he’s able to dominate him again.
