The 2023 NFL Season is officially over.
For some fans, this is a time of mourning, as they won’t be able to watch NFL action until September of 2024.
However, while it can be a bittersweet time, this is also a fascinating period for other fans and analysts.
It is officially NFL Draft season, and the clock is ticking.
Teams have a few months to finish their scouting, hoping to find the best prospective players to make a difference on their roster.
When considering the options, Steve Smith recently talked about his favorite “steal” from the upcoming draft, Malachi Corley.

Corley is a wide receiver prospect from Western Kentucky.
He is shorter than a prototypical NFL receiver, as he measured in at just shy of 5’11.”
He weighs 215 pounds, which indicates that he has the size to measure up with some of the top defensive players in the league, even though his height is less than ideal.
Corley might be viewed as a potential fourth-round pick, but Smith thinks he can make a real difference on an NFL roster.
Smith recognized that NFL teams might not be as excited about Corley considering the talent he played against at Western Kentucky.
WKU might not be an NCAA powerhouse, but, as Smith pointed out, Corley dominated the competition he faced, which is ultimately the most important thing.
It will be interesting to see where Corley gets drafted.
If he does go to an ideal landing spot, he just might pan out similarly to what Smith expects.
