The Super Bowl is already in the history books, but the NFL season never truly stops.
All 32 teams should now strive to bolster their roster ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Nonetheless, some teams are obviously in bigger need of a home run in the offseason, either because of the assets they have, the position they are in, or how badly their seasons ended in 2023.
In light of that, ESPN analyst Mike Greenberg shared his list of the top five NFL teams under the most pressure to win the offseason right now.
.@Espngreeny‘s list of teams under the MOST pressure to win the offseason:
1. Bears
2. Jets
3. Steelers
4. Cowboys
5. Bills pic.twitter.com/7zJRI3txqq— Get Up (@GetUpESPN) February 15, 2024
The Buffalo Bills are No. 5 on his list, and they’re going to be in a tough spot money-wise, so this makes sense.
Josh Allen’s cap hit is going to be huge, so they might have to restructure his contract to make sure to keep some key pieces around.
At No. 4, we find the Dallas Cowboys, which isn’t much of a surprise.
They were the most disappointing team in the playoffs, and Jerry Jones vowed to go ‘all-in’ this offseason, even though he kept Mike McCarthy.
Then, he chose the Pittsburgh Steelers, a team that hasn’t competed at a high level in quite a while.
Mike Tomlin is reportedly looking for a new quarterback, and Justin Fields could be their No. 1 target.
Unsurprisingly, his New York Jets got the nod at No. 2.
Aaron Rodgers will be back on the field, but they need to make sure to revamp that offensive line to protect him.
Last but not least, he chose the Chicago Bears, who hold the No. 1 and No. 9 picks.
They need to start competing now, whether they keep Fields or land Caleb Williams, they just can’t afford any setbacks.
