The Kansas City Chiefs are walking on clouds right now.
They’ve won the Super Bowl three times in the past five seasons, and it doesn’t seem like they’re going anywhere any time soon.
Of course, most of that has to do with their superstar at the quarterback position.
Even so, midway through the season, Patrick Mahomes praised his defense and stated that he realized that he didn’t have to do a lot extra because he could trust his defense to get the job done.
With that in mind, defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo showered him with praise in an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show.
The four-time Super Bowl champion assistant coach stated that Mahomes is a team-first kind of guy.
“Patrick Mahomes is a team guy and he’s all about winning,” Spagnuolo said.
“Patrick Mahomes is a team guy and he’s all about winning..
I’m trying to get him to play defense too but I don’t think Coach Reid is gonna go for it”

Per Spagnuolo, Mahomes is all about making every single person around him better every day of the week, and that’s what makes him so special.
The Chiefs have officially become the new dynasty in the league.
Andy Reid won’t retire, Patrick Mahomes will stay there, and the front office is likely to go the extra mile to give the offense some new skill players.
And with Steve Spagnuolo doing his thing with that elite defense, it wouldn’t be that much of a surprise to see this core of players become the very first team to win three Super Bowls in a row in the history of this beautiful game.
