The Seattle Seahawks have to be thrilled with the quarterback play they have received from Geno Smith these past two years.
After trading Russell Wilson before the 2022 season, no one knew what to expect from Smith.
But, he has resurrected his career by making the Pro Bowl each of the last two seasons.
Smith signed a three-year deal to remain with the Seahawks after last season.
On Friday, he has $12.7 million in his contract that will become fully guaranteed.
According to Adam Schefter, the Seahawks will keep Smith on the roster and that money will become his.

That move should have been a no-brainer for the Seahawks, especially with how much the quarterback market has skyrocketed over the years.
Smith now has a base salary of $12.7 million with a cap hit of $31 million.
For a Pro Bowl-level quarterback, that is not too hefty of a price to pay.
The Seahawks just missed out on the playoffs this past season.
Still, they must think Smith is good enough to lead them to the playoffs and maybe even win a game.
The Seahawks have done a great job building their roster around Smith.
They have used some of their top draft picks on offensive weapons while also addressing the defense.
No one should be surprised if the Seahawks are back in the running for a playoff spot next year.
With Smith back in the fold they know they will be getting solid quarterback play.
