With Super Bowl LVIII past the NFL, teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers have begun to turn their attention to the highly-anticipated 2024 NFL Draft.
The Steelers were able to beat the odds and make the postseason though they lost in the Wild Card Round to the Buffalo Bills.
However, Pittsburgh proved once again that they’re capable of winning games in a multitude of ways.
The upcoming draft is an important one for the Steelers as they have several needs on the roster they need to fill.
The jury is still out on Kenny Pickett who has been up and down through two seasons, while the defense could use an infusion of talent in their secondary.
Aside from addressing roster needs, though, the Steelers are vying to host the actual draft event either in 2026 and 2027 via ProFootball Talk.

Hosting the draft is an economic boost for the city it’s in, but besides that Pittsburgh also gets the opportunity to be the main attraction for a few days as the league and fans descend to see the next wave of NFL players.
The 2024 NFL Draft will be in Detroit this year and Green Bay in 2025, but Pittsburgh will look for its turn afterward.
The Steelers have an excellent fanbase and have always been a great football town, so hosting either the 2026 or 2027 NFL Draft would be a fun time.
However, until then the franchise will need to focus on the upcoming one to bolster their roster and make a run at a Super Bowl.
