The Kansas City Chiefs may not have been the same explosive offense during the 2023 NFL season, but that didn’t stop them from winning Super Bowl LVIII against the San Francisco 49ers.
The Chiefs were carried by their defense for most of the postseason, though Patrick Mahomes still did enough offensively to keep the team afloat.
Mahomes threw for 333 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception against San Francisco and was named the game’s MVP.
Mahomes now has three Super Bowl rings and Super Bowl MVPs to his name, making him one of the greatest quarterbacks in league history at just 28 years old.
After winning Super Bowl LVIII, Mahomes established himself as one of the best players in league history and he will only add to his legacy.
Players like Ryan Clark urged media and fans not to ignore what Mahomes is doing via his personal Twitter account.
“Even with that we shouldn’t ignore what we are seeing. Like Jordan, Gretzky, Jeter, Denzel Washington we are seeing someone stand out in the land of standouts! “In a world of extremely talented people… He’s on a different level,” Clark tweeted.
The greatness of @PatrickMahomes can’t be measured nor captured in 1 single overtime win. From the moment he took the field he’s be the league’s best player. He himself said he can’t even consider the conversation since @TomBrady beat him on the biggest stage.

Making it to the NFL is already a massive accomplishment for any football player, but to be the best of the best takes a special individual and Mahomes fits the mold.
As long as Mahomes is healthy, the Chiefs will always be considered Super Bowl contenders no matter who else is on the roster.
The superstar quarterback is hitting the prime years of his career and should be featured in the Super Bowl more times after this year.
