The New York Giants have some things to consider in the offseason.
Xavier McKinney should be one of their top priorities in free agency.
The talented DB has been quite vocal about his desire to be paid as one of the best safeties in the league, making it loud and clear that he doesn’t intend to give the team any sort of hometown discount.
Now, he could be teasing at a potential move away from the Big Apple, tweeting the ‘California Breeze’ song.

Of course, this led to plenty of speculation on social media, and while he could be just referring to the song, the timing of this tweet was rather suspicious.
He’s coming off the best season of his career, posting 116 tackles, even though he wasn’t used in pass coverage as often and as much as he would’ve liked.
That didn’t prevent him from getting the fourth-highest PFF grade (87.8) among all safeties last year, which speaks volumes of his versatility and ability to impact the game in multiple spots on the field.
Also, his durability is worth noting, as he played every single defensive snap last season.
He also logged one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and three interceptions, all while allowing a 69.8 passer rating when targeted in coverage.
Now, whether the Giants will honor that level of production with the kind of deal he’s looking for remains to be seen.
